Is reality TV getting too real to handle?

Of late, TV channels have been flooded with reality shows so much so that people have started begging...give me a break. Some celebrity is supposed to be getting married on national television by means of Swayamwar where out of the 13 participants, one will be chosen by one of the most controversial so-called celebrity Rakhee Sawant and then she will be marrying him in the concluding episode of the Swayamwar. In another reality show on MTV Splitsvilla, contestant Swagata Shah has accused the program director to chose the final two contestants in his bedroom. The other reality show "Sach ka Saamna" has already made enough headlines that the show is now debated in Rajya Sabha as if our politicians have no other work to do than to set guidelines what we want to see on the Idiot Box. The other "Iss Jungle se Mujhe Bachao" is another reality show where you can watch contestants bitching about their fellow contestants and of their past life. You can hear Marc Robinson talking about ditching Preity for Waluscha and Fiza's married with Chand Mohammad which made headlines across the country. You can also watch celebrities taking bath in open...how cool!!! In one show, one can watch Alka and Abhijeet fighting like Tom and Jerry for anything and nothing. This reality TV industry has really become a jungle out there where everyone is trying to cut into other's audience base by way of creating controversies and showing whatever they can to generate enough oomph on the show. Well, as an audience, I am enjoying it because I am getting to see what I always wanted to see...the masala, the oomph, the bitching, the skin show, the gossips, the catfight, and what not.
